If you would like to sell your sterling silver, please send a detailed inventory list and any available photos to sell@southernsilver.com.
Please include:
- The number of individual pieces (i.e. 4 dinner forks, 1 cold meat fork, etc.)
- Pattern name and/or manufacturer (if you know).
- Condition of the piece(s): like new, used, monogrammed, etc. Review our Condition Ratings for more information on how to evaluate your sterling silver collection. Please try to be as objective and honest as possible.
- Measurements of the dinner knife and fork, if applicable (measure the fork with tines facing down).
It is always helpful if you can provide a photo of your item(s) and any
markings on the back. The detailed markings (on the back of each fork,
for example) will be most helpful in determining age and ultimately the
value of your sterling silver flatware. Don’t worry if you don’t know
the official term for an item. A photo and “serving spoon” should be
adequate.
Please
keep in mind that we purchase sterling silver for resale. Pieces in
excellent condition, without monograms, are preferred. But we’re always
happy to consider your individual collection.
